Crispy shrimp toasts with Vietnamese flavor, made fast with VV Foods soup base and simple pantry ingredients
Use:

Ingredients
Serves 4-6
12-14 slices sandwich bread
Shrimp paste:
225 g raw medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 shallots, about walnut-size
1 garlic clove, minced
1 egg white, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon minced lemongrass
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
1 tablespoon of VV FOODS Pho Ga Chicken Soup Base
Preperation
Cut each bread slice into a star shape with a 6.25 cm cutter.
Instructions
Use a star-shaped cutter about 6.25 cm wide to cut one star from each slice of bread. Save the scraps for another use.
Blend the shrimp, shallots, garlic, egg white, cilantro, Pho Ga Chicken Soup Base, and lemongrass in a food processor until smooth. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Spread the shrimp mixture thickly over one side of each bread star.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the toasts shrimp-side down first, then turn and fry the other side until golden and crisp.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
